Pokemon: Cubchoo HAVE A FIVE-SECOND DRAWING
Distinguishing Characteristics: His eyecolor, lavender, and preferably his glasses. I was, toying... Toying with the idea of a scarf that also flares out like his unique collar. Or, perhaps a nice yellow tie with his eye pattern on it?
Explanation: Well, as I mentioned on the picker page, it makes sense to me and at least one other person that Dist uses Ice-based Fonic Artes. Cubchoo is an ice-type. Personality-wise, it throws back more to his younger days and insecurities about his life in general. Another big draw is it has hands.

While I personally felt there were Pokémon more fitting, Dist will need a pair of hands, and while Cubchoo doesn't have the best in the world, he'll work around it as he won't left a simple form-change halt his experiments and fontech work.
IDK THERE'S ALSO SOME NONSENSE ABOUT A RUNNY NOSE OR SOMESUCH HERESY.

History: wiki! This is a bit small, so if you need an expansion, let me know~

Personality: Deranged, unhinged, insane. These are common words, but Dist is not a common man. No, so deeply wounded by what he perceived as betrayal by a close friend, he couldn't deal with it at all, and created his secondary "personality" out of a need to mentally cope. By leaving his old name behind, he put on a mask as well-constructed as both of his friends' and tried to make the world believe he was something he wasn't.

Dist as a person is Eccentric, right in line with Jade himself. He is the authority of egotism and narcissism; greeting his foes and friends alike with some bit of shameless and overly dramatic self-flattery being his most common calling card, as well as trying to cast off the well deserved title of "Reaper". Instead he approaches with a decidedly effeminate air, declaring himself a "Rose" of impeccable beauty, and fashion-sense. So egotistical he wouldn't fight directly, relying on his Fon-Tech creations, perhaps this was his folly.

Saphir as a person is self-loathing. He always compares himself to Jade, and considers the man a dear, dear friend and rival. He sees no value in himself and adores Jade for the other man's genius, and failed to stand on his own, giving up his humanity to be as akin to a "pet" or "shadow" to the other man in their childhood and youth. He is timid, easily frightened, and terribly jealous when Jade so much as looks at another person.

Together, they are almost frighteningly intelligent and skilled; they did manage to keep up with Jade all through their military career, without Fonic Sight mind you. They are masters of Fon-Tech, able to built intricately complex machinations that might rivals constructs from the super-advanced Dawn Age of Auldrant. However, despite their skills and genius, they are as devoid of morals as Jade himself, worse perhaps as they do understand emotions and moral implications of their research. If it is to satisfy their curiosity, they did it; Mohs' transformation being a very good example. If something or someone was an obstacle, they were removed, gracefully, as befitting a "Rose". They are obsessive, chasing their friend and rival all over the planet for acknowledgement by him. Unfortunately, sitting in jail for the second time and all their plans ruined, it seemed very bleak. Thus the man finally decided perhaps, he should try again, the right way.

So, he took what he had made of himself, and made a whole. While he had roughly remained the same, his experiences with his mask did help him see that he really had the qualities all-along, and if he just attempted to put even a small bit of faith himself; he could do so much more. This whole is calm and self-assured like Dist, fiercely dedicated to Jade, but not narcissistic like Saphir, and like both, still a genius, and having a very tenuous grip on his moral alignment. The only question is, can he keep both halves a cohesive whole?

=== Samples: ===
First Person: Questionnaire:
1) You discover a secret passage in a basement. What do you do? Explore it! And show Jade. Surely he'll appreciate the mystery; it's something to learn about.

2) Have you ever wanted to communicate with aliens from another planet? Yes! And steal borrow some of their technology. We could explore Luna and perhaps even travel to the other side of Rem and see what else lay in our galaxy!

3) Would you feel comfortable stating your opinion to a very important person? Y-Yes! Sometimes...I mean. I do actually know what I'm talking about. They just like ignoring me.

4) Do you like to do things according to plan? That's the whole point of a well-thought out plan, isn't it? I suppose if something happens to accidentally go wrong, perhaps it's time for some free-thinking. But if I made the plans it's unlikely something could go wrong. Or Jade~ He's so clever, there was this one time--

5) Do you think that lies are sometimes necessary? ... [a nervous chuckle] I'll just leave it at, "Everyone lies."

Third Person: It was blue, had large glasses, and a sniffly nose, fighting back a sneeze. True to form; whenever Dist became upset, his nose tended to get worse. This being the reason the Cubchoo was fighting off the urge to have a hissy fit and declarations of scribbling everyone's name in his journal. He took a breath and adjusted the accessory to clear his vision. He was practicing Powder Snow in private to keep people from annoying him; if he could at least defend himself in this form, it would help his case greatly.

...Then there was the matter of trying to hold a conversation with Jade. Something he was both annoyed already and anxious about. They had managed to work together again, if they could do so here; perhaps they could finally reconcile. But Jade's so slow to trust it's pathetic. Did he really want to spend a year.

Or two.

Or three. Or more, enduring his endless picking? It was true enough; Jade did pick at everyone around him, but it felt to the man that the Necromancer reserved a special bit of extra harsh wit, just for him. Pushing it out of his mind, he did as he'd been been taught, and fired, a flurry of snow issued forth, freezing a very small bush.

Dropping his composure for a moment he twirled in place, striking a small pose after. ...It just wasn't the same. He wasn't pretty in this form. He could have been a flower at least. Not this abomination, even if it did have the advantage of using from an elemental pool he was more familiar with. Anything would have been better than this. And the rumors that if the great mystery was solved he could evolve later didn't help. He surmised this was an infant form, and he could only conjure up a horrifying image at what the mature form would be.
